About Team V.A.N.
Team Very Awesome Name, FRC 12148
Student Kickoffs
Founded in 2026, Team V.A.N. (FRC 12148) is a student-managed, rookie FIRST Robotics Competition team. Our main build space is at The MindForge Guild in Palm Bay, and Eastern Florida State College provides fabrication support. We serve students in southern Brevard and Indian River counties.
We are the only community FRC team in Brevard County and the closest FRC team to Palm Bay, Bayside, Sebastian River, Vero Beach, and Indian River Charter High Schools.
Mission
We started this team because southern Brevard and Indian River County have limited access to STEM extracurriculars. Indian River County currently has no FRC teams, and students in southern Brevard often have to travel 40+ minutes to join an existing program.
Join Us
We are always looking for students to join, whatever your experience. Whether you’re interested in engineering, business operations, or media, you can make an impact here.
